The Lord of the Rings and the Journey of the Christian

In the beginning, you joined ‘the fellowship of the ring’ when you became Christian: the beginning of the journey of a new lie in Christ.

As you grew, you became more aware of the essence of ‘the two towers,’ truth and evil, seeking to possess your soul. Which one would you give it to. Tensions created opportunities for growth or regression. The testing in the furnace to show you that you were made of gold as you held on to the Word.

Then, having lived, there came ‘the return of the king’ with the rapture and the final battle to end all wars.

Side thought:
The opposite of truth is evil.

The Horsemen of Rohan

Gather, the Rohinnim
The horsemen of Rohan

For the folk
For Rohan

The waves breaking
Make the music
Of thundering hooves
In equestrian glory

For the king
For Rohan

A wave of birds
Cross land of war
Dust in wake
And trampled foe

For the land
For Rohan

The pride of virtue
And flag of valour
Light the land
Of riders eternal

The horsemen of Rohan

There’s hope, Frodo.

Gandalfs death is not in vain, nor would he have you give up hope. You carry a heavy burden Frodo, don’t carry the weight of the dead.

I heard a voice in my head. She said to me, “even now, there is hope left.” But I cannot see it; it’s been long since we had any hope.

I know what to do, it’s just that I’m afraid to do it.

Even the smallest person can change the course of the future. You have your own choice to make … to rise above the heights of all your fathers … or to fall into darkness with all that is left of your kin.
